According to the Radak we know that a husband inherits his wife from the verse which states that Pinchas buried his father in his plot, the problem with that is that Pinchas was a cohen/levi (as far the laws of the receiving the land he was classified as a levi i.e. ) and as such has no land and how does he get somewhere to bury his father.
From this we deduce that he must have inherited from his wife …
This seems very strange to base a whole law when there are simpler explanations.

- He received it as a gift from the rest of the people
