According to Genesis 1:30 when God created the world He commanded to Adam and to the animals to be vegans. Only 1600 years later after the flood did God tell Noach that he would now rule over the animals to the extant that he could eat them too.
What is fascinating according to this is that God created the world as a vegan world and yet all the animals that we see today seem to be built in order to help them to prey or defend themselves against those that prey on them. This would seem to be very problematic to say that God created all the animals because 1600 years later they would all need to be like that. Also to say that after the flood all the animals changed would be a huge step too and in fact it is not brought down any where about that, as far as I know.
